On the way back we drove through Waitangi and up the hill to a place by the golf course that I remembered from our first visit in 2011. A beautiful view over the bay to Russell.
Some friends from N. Yorkshire, Jo and Simon, due in Paihia today for three days.
They messaged at 5p.m. To say that they were having a late lunch in Russell so we said we’d go down and have a drink with them a bit later.
Good to see them, had a good catch up for an hour or so and hope to see them again on Friday.
